The Cathedral Choir program has been training young singers to become tomorrow’s leaders since 1883. Students receive almost ten hours per week of professional choral training, piano lessons, leadership development and mentoring. Through the Scholarship Fund, the Cathedral Choir School provides an annual scholarship to its students, so that every child, regardless of income, can participate. Currently 50 students are enrolled.
Participation in the Cathedral Choir School of Delaware brings unexpected rewards and connections that last a lifetime. Every year, hundreds of alumni, parents, and friends join the Cathedral Choir School's faculty and staff to create exciting opportunities for students ages 7 to 18 to receive the finest musical education possible and to nurture their leadership and citizenship skills in the process. We invite you to participate in this effort by mentoring, and by providing gifts of time and financial support that maximize the Cathedral Choir School experience for all of the youth who participate. Together we can use music as a positive tool to intervene in the lives of young people in the Wilmington area and the region. Click here to learn more about supporting the Choir School.
Please consider our Annual Scholarship Program or Endowment Fund.
Support is provided, in part, by the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, the Trustees of the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware, and by local individuals, businesses and foundations. Click here to see our 2009 Honor Roll of Donors in PDF format.
